我說…

比來因為有不少消息傳出，所以，我都利用休假時間去四處找資料看資料印資料等，昨夜看到論壇有會員【let】分享這篇原文文章，我花很多時間看完，覺得有很多地方也說明一些事情，因此，清晨二點請論壇版主【海】幫手翻譯。早上起來就翻譯好了，真是謝謝【海】了。辛苦了。

文章有幾段重點，都說明夏季不會交易林書豪，也間接辯駁傳言，同時，也針對某些部份做出適當的回應~~

其中我看到有幾段我昨天清晨也回覆豪迷小F~

我看完全部了，莫雷除了說了你貼的這段外，針對林書豪的部份他還說了兩段重點的部份。

提到小貝不會取代林書豪外。
莫雷還說：林經歷了令人難以置信的一個賽季，不幸的是絕大多數的人只記住了開頭和結尾。賽季初傑瑞米的掙扎全因膝蓋手術的困擾，而他的賽季又以胸肌拉傷結束，但我們對他的表示感到滿意。
最後還說：關於林書豪，我並非為其辯護，但我們從未期望他能給予我們單場30分10次助攻的表示——就像他在紐約時那樣，所以我們對他的表示感到滿意。

別的我還注意到有一段讓我很有興趣，就是最後一段問莫雷是否有計劃簽Sergio Llull （盧爾），他是西班牙的球員主打得分後衛(拿過兩次歐洲盃金牌及銀牌)，但受限身高問題(192cm和林書豪差不多)，在NBA將以控球後衛為主。
在2009第二輪34順位被金塊選走，接著被火箭花很多錢買斷，讓他成為有史以來第二輪最昂貴的球員。

莫雷也很必定的說：因為林書豪目前表示的不錯，所以，沒有計劃再找他來。註：盧爾已經25歲了。

林書豪的部份沒給明確的答案是因為不確定CP3會不會來。

I recently purchased some season tickets for next season andwas invited to a luncheon at Toyota Center where Morey talked for about 30minutes. To be honest, he didn’t share much info at all but I’m sure some ofyou are like me and will take any Rockets news you can get at this time.

DM: Most of the team will be back next year. Wewere the youngest team in the league. Just by adding one year under their belt,teams like ours will add 4 to 5 wins. So where we want to be trying to get tonext year is that 50 win range. If we can add one of these significant freeagents we feel like that could potentially put us in the championshipcontention. The models out there that we aresimilar to that we are trying to accomplish are OKC which was similar to us,similar age, similar to us in everything. Three years ago they lost 4-2 to thetop seed just like us and then they progressed very well from there. The otherteam that has really done things the right way is Miami. First when they onlyhad Wade, who we think is equivilant talent to Harden at a similar age, they planned their cap really well likewhat we are doing right now and they were able to add Shaq. Then they were verycareful with their cap again when they added the players they added thistime(Lebron & Bosh obviously). So that’s sort of the plan, to go after someof the bigger free agents this year and if we don’t get them then carefullymanage the cap to get us to the 50 win range with most of the players we have now andkeep our flexibility. We feel we took a big leap forward this season but westill feel we need to take another big leap forward whether that is throughtrade or free agency.

Q: The eastern conference is much easier thanthe western conference and how does that get evened out?

DM: It’s not changing. Really you have to lookat the owners and the western conference has better owners for the most part sothe teams are better. We just have to keep fighting. Our goal is to win thetitle and even though our path will be harder it’s still the same goal. It iswhat it is.

Q: You are known for being a different type ofGM but who are the people you modelled you management style after?

DM: Primarily I did a lot of reading. Probablyreading Bill James and his ideas of how to build a team before he was hired bythe Red Sox. Danny Ainge was a forward thinking, smart ,former player that Itook a lot from. And then Carol Dawson for one year. The owner Les Alexander isthe unsung hero that does a lot behind the scenes. He consistently takesgambles on us so we can accomplish big things.

DM: I can’t answer that. Let’s just say we aregoing after 2 of the biggest free agents(obviously Dwight & CP3) and notbeing as agressive with the others.

Q: Could it be a package deal?

DM: There are some sort of very unlikelyscenarios where that could happen. But it’s very unlikey because like 20 thingswould have to align for that to happen. It would be very interesting but I haveto live in the world of getting things done and that is very unlikely to getdone.

DM: Every team is one piece away and his name isLeBron. But if it were one of the 2 free agents that I can’t name it would besignificant. Draft picks are unlikely bring help to us unless maybe it’s arotation player but hopefully we won’t have good picks. We have to do like theSpurs who get guys like Gary Neal or players like that. We need 1 more all starlevel player. The likliest ways of that happening are first free agency, thencurrent player improvement, and least likely is through our draft pick.

DM: He is actually here today(at the ToyotaCenter) working out. We have high hopes for him. We normally wouldn’t have theopportunity to get a guy that was 5th in the draft and we are still high onhim. He came in a tough spot of the season. This year we could have Dmo, Jones,TRob, Greg Smith, and potential the Turkish player all fight it out to seewho’s best.

By the way, I want you all to know it’s safe to buyHarden jerseys or most all of our jerseys even though that has not been thecase in the last few years. DM: Well that is an option. However, both of theguys you mentioned are not free agents the following year but that doesn’t meanthey won’t come available because Harden wasn’t a free agent either. Anyways,it’s so hard to get an elite player so we can’t pass up a big free agent inhopes of someone in another year. We have Harden all the way til he is 28 yearsold and we don’t want to waste his prime. Look at the Blazers they were set upwith Roy, Aldridge, and Oden so we don’t want to take anything for granted.

But our weakest spot is obviouslyPF but we don’t want to bring in an average guy that stunts the growth of theyoung guys and hurts our flexibility.

DM: Beverly played very well. I hate how Lin’sseason ended with the muscle pull. Lin had an unbelievable season.Unfortunately most people only remember the beginning and the end. At the startof the season jeremy struggled coming back from knee injury and ended with thechest injury but we are happy with how he played. Harden won the most games forRockets, then Asik, and then Jeremy and CP were tied for third. So Patrick isgoing to be a nice rotation player for us at least the next 3 years with a veryhigh ceiling. But about Jeremy, not to be defensive, but we were not expectinghim to have 30 points a game 10 assists like he did in New York so we are happywith how he played.

Q: Are other GMs afraid to deal with theRockets?

DM: No. Fortunetly, the egos in the NBA arereally big so they are all really confident in what they do and they should besince most have accomplished more than the Rockets.

Q: How are you using the SportsView data thatcollects data on player movement on the court?

DM: We have overhead cameras along with 10 to 12others teams. It’s a lot of data and it can be used to analyze a lot ofdifferent things but we’d like to keep that pretty quiet. Everything you canthink of we can track so it is a great advantage.

Q: Thoughts on Royce White?

DM: We are hopefully but he is dealing with alot issues off the court. It was nice to see him on the court during the 2ndhalf of season.

I would extend his contract now ifthey would let me but the NBA rules say I can’t. He has at least 2 more yearshere and hopefully many more.。

Q: Is Sergio Llull going to come over?

DM: It was great that Les Alexander gave usmoney to buy 2nd round pick a few years back to get him. Now the rules havechanged so teams can’t do that as much. He is #1 guard in Spain. Was MVP in oneof the Euro cups recently. He is for sure an NBA ready guy. He won’t come overthis offseason but maybe the following one as his buyout gets lower. Now withLin and Beverly it would be unlikely he’d play right now anyway. It’s kind ofadmirable, he really wants to win a title in Europe and he was close this year.Before he comes over, he sort of wants to win big for Real Madrid’s teambecause they brought him along this far in his career.

I think Daryl didn’t say anything that he wouldn’tmind all of us knowing so I feel okay sharing this with you all. Again, thereis no breaking news in here but it took a long time to type it up so hope youguys enjoy reading it.
